Volunteering can be a rewarding way to help others while also growing your skills and expertise.
If you want to get involved in a variety of projects and help our organization grow over time, this is the opportunity for you! While it requires a good deal of responsibility, you’ll reap a ton of rewards: In addition to strengthening beneficial skills, you can grow your network by connecting with industry professionals and through your fellow board members. Serving on the AHAIN Board of Directors is an excellent opportunity to actively support your organization and to help develop policies and initiatives that will positively impact the affordable housing industry in Indiana. AHAIN is seeking members to fill three board openings that will become available on January 1, 2023. Board terms are three years.
The AHAIN Board of Directors is the governing body of the association. The board approves the budget, establishes our long-term strategy, oversees various organizational policies, and helps increase AHAIN membership. The AHAIN Board is more hands-on, handling everything from providing direct services to constituents to planning association events, and advocating on behalf of the affordable housing industry.
The AHAIN Nominating Committee will carefully review each questionnaire and recommend new directors. AHAIN members will vote on the recommended candidates at the Membership Meeting, during AHAIN’s Affordable Housing Conference and Annual Meeting on October 20, 2022. Board members will begin their terms on January 1, 2023.
If you are interested in serving on the board, please submit a completed Board of Director Profile and Questionnaire for Candidates to the AHAIN office by the close of business on Friday, October 7, 2022. The questionnaire represents an expression of interest in a board position and serves as a substitute for a letter of interest. Please email the completed questionnaire to cluth@inaha.org by the due date.
If you have any questions, please contact the AHAIN office at 260-724-6490 or cluth@inaha.org.
